What are ‘InDaHouse’ about:
So what are we trying to do here? Well lets start with what brought us together. Its simple we love to dance, we love to listen to music, we love to create, but what we really really love is House in all its glory and from that ‘InDaHouse’ was born.
Our vision for the future is to know, see and believe that House Dance is recognized on every dance scene here in the UK. We want others to be able to experience it, share it and cherish it, just like we do! To make this dream happen, initially ‘InDaHouse’ will be focusing on showcases at various different dance events.
As we progress, we will be working on theatre productions. Not forgetting the next generation, we are also supporting a Hackney based youth project Street Spirit whose focus is to get kids off the streets through dance, music and art. Proceeds from our club night go towards the facilitation of this great cause.
Whos ‘InDaHouse’:
Two busy auditions were held on the 3rd of February and March 2007 in our search for 6-8 dancers to represent the ‘InDaHouse’ collective. Clara de Paris is both the choreographer and director, while Lisa Tully runs the administration and management side.
Ryan Chappell

Ryan has worked in many different parts of the entertainment industry as both a dancer and choreographer. Originally from Australia he started out tap dancing as a child and over the years has trained in many different styles of dance. He worked extensively in Australia as a commercial dancer and then moved to London in 2001, which is where his love for Streetdance took over. Since then he has gone on to tour the UK, Europe and Africa with acclaimed Streetdance shows. Working alongside the likes of Jamelia and Dannii Minogue, Ryan has choreographed for their videos and promotional campaigns. More recently, Ryan created the role of Chief Bromden in the original Bounce Streetdance company’s adaptation of ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest’.
Bly Richards

Bly is one of our UK homegrown House dancers of the crew. His love of dance began initially with Popping and Bboying. After that he began experimenting with Street Dance, and has now ventured into Locking and House. As the winner of the reality dance show Bump & Grind 2, Bly found himself with the opportunities to perform for big artists such as Kano, Rachel Stevens and Madonna. He has also trained with some of the worlds best choreographers such as Luca Tomassino, Marty Kudelka, Kevin Maher and Darrin Henson. Finding inspiration from within, he now does his own creative choreographies and teaches at the world renowned Pineapple Studios, London.
Khoudia Toure

Born and raised in Dakar (Senegal), Khoudia commenced her dancing career with Classical Ballet, soon to be followed by African Dance and Modern Jazz. In 2002, she entered the world of Hip Hop when she joined the Fellers Breakdance crew, in Dakar. Taking part in numerous dance shows and battles, Khoudia was more than capable of demonstrating her strong abilities in both Locking and Hip Hop freestyle. Upon arrival in Paris in 2004, she promptly fell in love with House Dance. Drawing from her diverse background she brought creativity and inspiration to her incredible House style. In 2005, she participated in Just4ladies in the House Dance category, an all female event. Her drive to not only jack but also jack with style brings us to where she is today.
Tommy Franzen

If we were to choose one word to best describe Tommys dancing it would have to be versatility. As a child in Sweden different hip hop styles are what initially got him moving, but it didn’t take long before other dance styles started to catch his eye. Locking, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Breakin, Body Popping and Ballet to name but a few. After working as a professional dancer in Sweden he moved to London to further improve his skills. Winning a three-year scholarship at The Urdang Academy did just that. He then went on to work worldwide with different shows from Musicals to Hip Hop Theatre shows. Tommy sees that being a part of InDaHouse as an excellent opportunity for him to improve his House Dance, which is a relatively new style for him.
Sayaka Kudo

All the way from exotic Japan, we have our stylish Sayaka to spice it up for us. A strong background in Hip-Hop, Locking, Breakdance, Wacking and House enables her to bring a confident flavour to the mix. Before arriving in London she has worked on a number of different dance projects in Tokyo, which includes dancing for the famous Africa Bambaata Crew no less! As a dedicated follower of the House Dance scene across the globe, she definitely has the will to jack deep in her soul! Just watch her go.
Jenny Silfver

An accomplished dancer, performer and teacher such as Jenny cant help but add even more gusto to this amazing crew! Her dancing credentials include an interesting motley of styles such as Hip-Hop, Contemporary and Jazz. Her energetic zest for dance truly lies within the Street Dance genre. Taking her into the world of Locking, Popping, Newstyle, House and Commercial Street Dance. Cultivating her dance skills over the years, Jenny has trained with big names such as Brian Green, Greg Campbell Lock Jr and Ambra Succi. Using the skills she has acquired overtime, Jenny is now the proud owner of her own dance company in Finland, though which she both teaches and performs.
DJ Tijo Aime

In 1996, Tijo Aime discovered house music through DJ Deep’s set on Radio Nova ( French radio). He found inspiration for his work from artists such as Joe Claussell, Ron Trent, and Jephté Guillaume, all of which specialize in afro and deep style house. In 1999, he started to be known as a DJ. His unique mix of styles such as deep house, broken beat and garage gave his listeners a whole new world of music to revel in! Around the same time, he discovered house dance in New York (Body&Soul and Shelter clubs) and appeared in different theatre and TV shows with his crew YKANJI.
The fusion of both his passions leads to the creation of his different projects mixing both dance and house music. Resulting in him being invited to the Tokyo Jazz 7 3rd festival in Japan at the Luners Club as both a DJ and a dancer. Tijo then launched an event at the Wax bar in Paris called the “Spirit n Moov” Project where he promoted different artists. In 2005, he became a resident DJ at Rexy and La Fabrique clubs in Paris with his latest project “Atmosphere”. Tijo Aimé is now well known for his personal touch and is dedicated to promoting his project “Atmosphere” in both France and Europe.
